MEET YOUR FOUNDERS

Gav and T are an inspiring couple who are dedicated to promoting mental health, connection, and fun through music. Partners in both life and passion, the engaged duo run SO SOUND CHOIR, a community choir focused on mental well-being, friendship, and fun.

 

Gavin, a professional musician , has always believed in the power of music. With a background in mental health and a deep love for music, he saw firsthand how singing could break down barriers and uplift spirits. T, a keen singer and dancer, shared her vision of creating a safe, welcoming space where people could come together and find happiness through singing and harmony.

 

Their story began as friends who met through their love of singing and music. Years later, having gone through some very difficult life changes and experiences, Gav and T realised that they were happiest when together, fell for each other 100% and finally got engaged in 2024! Combining 2 very "female heavy" families in the process! After years of dreaming about starting a choir, they took the leap and founded SO SOUND CHOIR in  March 2024.

 

The choir quickly grew into a thriving, inclusive community. Open to singers of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned vocalists, G & T emphasise the importance of enjoyment over perfection. Their sessions combine uplifting songs, laughter, and friendship, helping members leave their worries at the door and rediscover confidence and joy.

 

Gav and T's dedication goes beyond weekly rehearsals and at the tail end of 2024 they were honoured to be nominated for a small business award and received a letter from the House Of Commons! 

 

Now, as they plan their wedding, Gav and T continue to inspire those around them with their harmonious partnership both on and off the stage. Together, they prove that music has the power to heal, connect, and transform lives. Including their own.

ABOUT GAVIN MUNN ...

Gavin Munn is a professional musician with 30 years experience in TV, Film, Theatre and Live Performance.

​

He is also a highly regarded vocalist with Award Winning Band - The Audio Allstars (voted UKs Number 1 Wedding Band) and can currently be seen touring theatres with THE 80s BAND.

​

After 8 years of delivering high quality workplace choirs with SingForce (powered by Biiah) Gavin decided to also start his own community choir.

​

And SO SOUND CHOIR was born.

​

Set up for people to just SING, have fun and meet new friends, SO Sound choir is a safe space for individuals to unlock their love of great music and singing.

  • First professional job at age 11 

  • Appeared in National Number 1 Tours of The Sound Of Music and Scrooge

  • Appeared as an actor in many professional productions throughout the UK including: On Golden Pond, Relatively Speaking, The King & I, Gypsy, Billy Liar, Bouncers, The Three Musketeers, The Lion In Winter

  • Appeared in numerous professional pantomimes throughout the UK including: Aladdin, Cinderella, Jack & The Beanstalk, Dick Whittington

  • Performed in a 3 month residency at Lakeworth Playhouse, Florida USA

  • Appeared worldwide in Robbie Williams tribute show “Probably Robbie” performing in Mexico, UK, Germany, Holland, Bahrain, Sweden, Spain 

  • Appeared as Billie Joe in Green Day Tribute (officially endorsed by Green Day and their management) throughout the UK and Europe

  • Supported many named acts throughout the UK and Europe such as: Moby, Heather Small, The Ordinary Boys, Supergrass, Arctic Monkeys, The Body Rockers, Wheatus, Eels, Atomic Kitten, Sugababes 

  • Appeared alongside Kevin Costner and Joan Allen in Hollywood movie “The Upside Of Anger” as The Gavin Munn Band 

  • Recorded vocals for many TV and Radio commercials  and jingles worldwide including: Becks Beer, Toyota, Rama, KFC

  • Sang live on Portuguese TV for an audience of 3 million people

  • Performed with duo The Acoustics at Wembley Stadium for various games including FA Cup Final and England International games

  • Currently manage and perform lead vocals with UK and International Award Winning Party band - The Audio Allstars (established 2016)

  • Achieved award for UK Wedding Band Of The Year 2019, Best Wedding Band (South West) 2019 and Best Function Band (South West) 2020 with The Audio Allstars

  • Currently working as a freelance Choir Leader for SingForce (running workplace choirs)

  • Produced and now manage and perform lead vocals with UK touring theatre show - I LOVE THE 80s - Featuring THE 80s BAND

  • Vocal Coach/Singing Teacher (1:1 and online)

  • Performed at thousands of Corporate Events, Weddings and Parties. Clients include Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse, Alton Towers, Pepsi, Selfridges

  • 1:1 coaching and mentoring with many new performers/musicians leading to them getting professional paid work 

  • Institute of Leadership and Management Qualification in Coaching (ILM Level 3 City & Guilds)
